Thin stainless steel sheet is a stainless steel sheet with a thickness between 0.2-4mm produced by hot rolling or cold rolling. The thin stainless steel sheet width is between 500 and 1400mm. According to different uses, thin stainless steel sheet is rolled with different material billets. Usually, the materials are carbon steel, excellent carbon steel, alloy structural steel, carbon tool steel, stainless steel, spring steel and electrical silicon steel, etc. They are mainly used in the automotive industry, aviation industry, enamel industry, electrical industry, mechanical industry and other sectors. Thin stainless steel sheet in addition to rolling direct delivery, there are pickled, galvanized and tin and other types.
Thick stainless steel sheet is a general term for stainless steel sheets with a thickness of more than 4mm. In practical work, stainless steel sheets with a thickness of less than 20mm are often called medium plates. stainless steel sheets with a thickness of > 20mm to 60mm are called thick plates, and stainless steel sheets with a thickness of > 60mm need to be rolled on a special special thick plate mill, so they are called special thick plates.
The width of the thick stainless steel sheet is from 0.6mm-3.0mm. Thick plate is divided into shipbuilding stainless steel sheet, bridge stainless steel sheet, boiler stainless steel sheet, high pressure vessel stainless steel sheet, pattern stainless steel steel sheet, automotive stainless steel sheet, armor stainless steel sheet and composite stainless steel sheet, etc. A branch of stainless steel sheet is steel strip. Steel strip is actually a very long sheet with a relatively small width and is often supplied in coils, also known as strip steel. Steel strip is often produced in a multi-stand continuous mill, cut into a fixed length after the steel strip, so the productivity is higher than the single machine.
General carbon steel composed stainless steel sheet, general carbon composed stainless steel sheet is made of ordinary carbon structural steel composed steel billet hot rolled stainless steel sheet. Composed stainless steel sheet is completely deoxidized steel, steel liquid in ingot injection with ferro manganese, ferrosilicon and aluminum to fully deoxidized, steel liquid in the ingot mold is calm, does not produce boiling state, so it is named as composed steel. The advantage of calming steel is uniform chemical composition, so the mechanical properties of each part are uniform, good welding performance and plasticity, and strong corrosion resistance. However, the surface quality is poor, there are concentrated shrinkage holes, and the cost is also high.
